About Franklins...

Franklins is a friendly solicitors based in the centre of Abingdon, Oxfordshire. This page tells you a little more about our history, our charity work and the company's partners.

Franklins was founded in 1983 by Jim Franklin, who had previously been in practice in Oxford and Abingdon in his grandfather's firm of A. H. Franklin and Sons, and current partners John Cunliffe (commercial property), Julia Kent (residential property) and Helen Foreman (private client) make up the partners. The firm provides their services to business and private clients which have traditionally been provided by high street solicitors in a modern, friendly and approachable way.

We are committed to providing high quality legal advice in a friendly and professional manner. We also try to "do our bit" for both the local and wider community, for example by supporting the Abingdon Arts Festival financially. Since its inception we have participated in the "Will Aid" scheme, whereby for a limited period we provide a free will in exchange for a donation to charity.

Nine solicitors and two legal executives now provide expertise in most areas of work other than crime. The partners are confident that we can meet the challenges of the 21st century successfully as long as we continue to provide a personal service and do not ask our clients to spend time putting numbers into telephones or listening to recorded messages saying their calls are important to us!
