Family Law
Roger Elliot has led the family law team since 2006. He is supported by Legal Executive Mikaela Barwick. Roger is a member of the Solicitors Family Law Association and a Deputy District Judge of the Principal Registary of the Family Division. He is also on the Law Society Family Law Panel and is an Assesor for the Law Society, assessing applications for membership of the panel.
We have extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of family law, including divorce, relationship breakdown, problems over children and the financial consequences. We deal with relatively straightforward matters involving few assets and more complex cases involving family companies, trusts and international issues.
Our aim is to promote settlements by negotiation and we try to keep out clients out of Court if possible! However, if Court proceedings are necessary, our team has significant experience of litigation in Oxford County Court and surrounding Courts.
Prevention is better than cure and we are happy to advise on cohabitation agreements, prenuptial agreements and civil partnerships.
